Easychem Discrete Analyzer

Easychem is the registered name of our line of routine laboratory analyzers based on robotic technology, named as Discrete Analysis (DA), handling in a complete automated way spectrophotometric methods by automatic programmed dispensing of liquid chemical reagents inside incubation cuvettes and then performing the absorption reading at a predefined wavelength in two main modes:

  • extractive flow-cell, where the coloured reaction product is extracted from the incubation cuvette and brought inside a flow cell and then read there; the flow-cell is then washed for the next measurement, but the incubation cuvette cannot be reused again and it has to be replaced at the end of the measurement session;
  • direct reading, that means reading the colour geerated by the chemical reaction in the same incubation cuvette ad then washing it automatically to be reused.

The first operating mode allows to use different flow-cell lengths, including a long 50 mm one suitable to perform reproducible and accurate measurement of trace compounds in drinking ad sea water; the product based on this technology is named Easychem Plus.

The second operation mode allows a better productivity and speed of measurement; the main model based on this technology is named Easychem 200.

The line of analyzers is managed by a unique proprietary software allowing a complete configuration and management of data named Fusion.

We have recently developed a line of on-line aalyzers based on the direct reading, named as Eaychem on-line.

Flowsys Analyzer

Third generation continuous flow analyzers

FLOWSYS is a microflow automated Continuous Flow Analyzer (CFA) for water, soil, plants extracts and other industrial samples.

More than 800 applications are available on various matrix.

FLOWSYS is a unique CFA analyzer combining higher performances and low running costs with a friendly user interface.

The segmented technique offers all the various possibilities of flow-analysis, what basically is a highly integrated, modular sample preparation and handling technique, with outstanding repeatability.

3rd Generation hydraulics

The Microflow CFA technique carries out all steps of the analytical procedure in a reaction line of 1.0 mm inner diameter. These flow-conditions results in several advantages, for analytic process, design and easy operation.

The reduction of flow-volume to 40% of the previous second CFA generation reduces the required dimensions for the pump. A high precision, multichannel pump separately for each determination provides maximum flexibility and easy maintenance.

The physical properties of flow line and segmentation in Microflow provides high effective, continuous mixing and faster kinetics reaction.

Microflow provides easier and safer conditions for today’s most interesting CFA applications, using inline distillation (cyanide, phenolindex) or UV-digestion (total-P, total-N).

FLOWSYS measures available cyanide by a ligand-exchange, gas diffusion technique coupled with amperometric detector according to ASTM Method D6888-09 or OIA1677; it can quickly and easily perform Free Cyanide measurements according to ASTM D7237 of ISO 14403 and total cyanide by a UV digestion, gas diffusion technique coupled with amperometric detector according to ASTM Method D7511-09e2.

A self-cleaning filtration unit with 25 microns cut-off is suggested to be coupled with the analyzers for waste water monitoring.

Multi Parameter In-Situ Probes

Water In-situ analyzer

WIZ probe is the state of the art portable “in-situ” probe, to measure automatically up to four chemical compounds in surface and sea water.

After an extensive field test performed in four different steps during the Nutrient Sensor Challenge, in 2017 our company was awarded by Alliance of Coastal Technologies on both nitrate and orthophosphate measurement parameters.

Experience using the winning sensor from the nutrient sensor challenge: using the WIZ for surface water.

The innovative design allows an easy handling and field deployment by a single user.

WIZ probe allows, in the standard configuration, the detection at trace levels of the main four nutrients compounds:

  • ammonia (N-NH3)
  • orthophosphate (P-PO4)
  • nitrate + nitrite N-(NO3+NO2)
  • nitrite (N-NO2)

WIZ probe automatically manages the well known spectrophotometric wet chemistries and an advanced fluorimetric method for ammonia measurement.

Many other analytical methods are available on request, including silicates, Total P, Total N, iron and other metals.

WIZ probe is the most advanced analytical probe for field applications:

  • the 1.5 ml micro Loop Flow Reactor (μLFR*) enables an extremely low consumption of reagents and calibrants
  • the exclusive multibeam compact, optic fibers based, colorimetric detector, coupled with a state of the art fluorimeter
  • the new compact cylindrical design allows the deployment as any conventional water quality monitoring probes available in the market
  • the new innovative “plug-in” and compact reagents container allows an immediate field reagents and calibration solutions changeover.

Results are directly provided in concentration units; all measured values are stored with date, time and sample O.D.; the same data are remotely available through a serial communication port, which allows the complete probe configuration and remote control using the external Windows® based Wiz Control Panel software.

The Wiz reagents container:

Reagents and calibrants flexible bags are placed inside the “plug-in” compact reagents container.

The bags are connected to the internal analytical reactor with an enhanced version of our exclusive fast hydraulic 10 lines multiconnector*, ensuring quick replacement in the field.

Reagents consumption is limited to about 30-60 microliters of each reagent per single analysis; the reagents container is designed to contain up to 500 ml of reagents and calibrant solution, to ensure at least 1000 automatic field analysis.

Auto-calibration is performed using concentrated standard solutions, contained in the same reagents container.
